The Leyton Great Hall is the jewel in the crown of the East End. A Grade 2 listed hall that will be celebrating its 125th Year in 2021 as a place of Entertainment. LVE as the custodians of the hall have an exciting programme of events and theatrical productions planned for the duration of the year that will include a 2 week festival in March followed by a series of Cabaret shows, Art Exhibitions, Music performances, Film Nights, Theatrical plays and Musicals. We are also for the first time announcing a professional pantomime.
The Hall is a very adaptable space and has many configurations, we have created the East London Cabaret Theatre with the audience sat at tables with lamps giving us the ability to produce professional performances in the round or sat in the traditional theatrical layout. We also plan an interesting immersive experience around Alfred Hitchcock.
Many of our theatrical performances are based around local history such as a musical play about the time The Beatles came to Waltham Forest or a new play about Leyton Orient forming the Football Battalion during WW1 both written by a local resident.
