Once again, LVE Charitable Foundation hosted an International Women’s Day Event in The Great Hall at the Legacy Business Centre in Leyton.
The event took place on Saturday, 11th March, 2017 and was very well attended.
The organizer was Waltham Forest Women’s Network led by Karen Flint.
Guests were welcomed by Nadia Bash and Chris Casey. A Spoken Word was provided by Niemo Askar and this was followed by an address by Mayoress Susan Herrington.
Ayana Grant treated the audience to a rendition of Fur Elise on keyboards and this was followed by a demonstration of Morris Dancing.
After the interval Garba Dance entertained followed by the Spoken Word of Leyla Hyde and this was followed by the Tamil Dancers.
The Natural Voices Choir provided stirring voices.
CEO of LVE Charitable Foundation, Karen Bellamy, provided the closing words and the event was rounded off by the Natural Voices Choir accompanied by audience participation.
